Roll up your sleeves and get ready to learn the nuts and bolts of animal disaster response.
Noah’s Wish, the internationally recognized animal disaster response organization, will train the next class of first-responders to handle animal emergencies on Long Island.
Bring your sleeping bag, toothbrush and eagerness to learn, because Noah’s Wish trainers will tell you what you need to know to take part in live-animal relief and recovery.
This 2-day training requires participants to sleep overnight and take part in hands-on work with live animals (chickens, horses). Held at the Nassau County Fire Service Academy in Old Bethpage, all aspects of the training will be conducted by Noah’s Wish personnel.
The event and its participants are insured through Noah’s Wish. This training is required for participants in Pet Safe Coalition activations who are not otherwise certified/trained professional animal handlers. (It is not required of non-animal-handling volunteers, such as office workers and speakers’ bureau members).
